Name in Tolman & Lewington (1997): Agrodiaetus ripartii
Systematics: "P. ripartii" as currently defined in Europe is apparently an assemblage of several closely related species. Further research of this complex group is necessary.
Range: From S Europe (N Spain, S France, N Italy, S Poland, the Balkans) and Asia Minor across the steppe and partly montane zone of western Asia almost reaching Baikal Lake (but see Systematics).
Distribution in Bulgaria: Local in the mountains of the W, SW and S parts of the country, between 200 and 1950 m a.s.l.
Habitat: Dry, warm flowery glades, meadows or mountain slopes, typically on calcareous rock.
Bionomics: One generation from early July till early September. Larval host-plant: Onobrychis (Fabaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).
Conservation status: A local species with relatively restricted range in Bulgaria, but usually common in its habitats and not directly threatened. IUCN category: Lower risk, near threatened.
